The new international airport will enable flights from various countries to land directly in Caticlan, just minutes from Boracay Island. Till then, tourists and vacationers will have to fly in via the Kalibo or old Caticlan Airports, both located in the Aklan mainland.
From the old Caticlan Airport, travelers must take a 15 minute ferry boat ride to Boracay Island. From the Kalibo Airport, passengers may board a bus or van to Caticlan which takes about 2 hours. Once in Caticlan, one must take the ferry boat to the island from the Caticlan Jetty Port. For convenience, ask your hotel booking officers about available shuttle services.
